Peter I. Rose is Sophia Smith Professor of Sociology and Anthropology and Senior Fellow of the Kahn Liberal Arts Institute at Smith College. He is the author of They and We, The Subject Is Race, Strangers in Their Midst, Mainstream and Margins, and Tempest-Tost.
Peter Rose has spent a lifetime exploring patterns of culture, examining issues of race and ethnicity, working with refugees, teaching sociology, and roaming the world.
