Heather Lawrence

Heather Lawrence is professor of sports administration and Robert H. Freeman Professor of Business in the College of Business at Ohio University. At OHIO, she has provided academic leadership as the associate dean for Graduate and Professional Programs, director of the Professional Masters of Sports Administration program, and NCAA faculty athletic representative. While she was the director of the Professional Masters of Sports Administration program, it earned multiple #1 Worldwide rankings by SportBusiness.

Dr. Lawrence has led business and academic research projects that have driven decision-making in sport business for numerous clients and has over 35 peer-reviewed academic publications and two books. Prior to beginning her academic career, Dr. Lawrence worked in various administrative positions within intercollegiate athletics at Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Florida where she was an NCAA All-American and SEC Champion diver.
